Thank you again for the insight into your writing process. It was both insightful and informative. You clarified your writing process for the students and ddin't shy away from letting us know about all the work required in the writing process.
Iain Morrison, Y10 English Teacher, British School, Gran Canaria.
We were visited yesterday ( on Zoom) by the wonderful author and poet, Miriam Halahmy, We gained valuable insight into;not just elements of her book, The Emergency Zoo, but the whole process of writing and, of course, the joy of reading. A powerful and memorable visit.
Jim Brassil, Y5 teacher, Highfield Primary School, Leeds.
Thank you very much for taking part in the seminar, Miriam. You were great!
Maybe you’ll come back for another one.
Marc Cave, CEO, National Holocaust Centre and Museum.
A fabulous treat for Hegehogs Class today when author Miriam Halahmy Zoomed in to talk about our class book for WW2, The Emergency Zoo. She also told us about her new book SAVING HANNO. Miriam talked about The Emergency Zoo as well as giving us some tips for being authors. Thank you - the children loved meeting you!
St Amants Primary School, Wantage
Thank you so very much for your visit with Aston Rowant this morning to talk about THE EMERGENCY ZOO. I especially wish to thank you for your patience and flexibility when we were unfortunately let down by our technology. The children thoroughly enjoyed your reading from your new book SAVING HANNO and are looking forward to hearing more about Rudi and Hanno's story when your book is published. The children have been inspired to be authors themselves, I think your anecdote detailing how the inspiration came to you for 'The Emergency Zoo' was particularly poignant for them to consider when writing their own stories.
Georgie McCleary, Aston Rowant Primary School, Oxfordshire.
Miriam's session was great. Although we were restricted to zoom due to C19 guidelines, the children really benefitted from the meet the author session. Miriam had prepared activities that captured the children's interest quickly and she took the time to answer their questions carefully. After reading The Emergency Zoo, this was the perfect opportunity for them to find out more about the book.
James Mather, Grafton Primary School, Islington, London.
Thank you so much for your time.  The students in my Book Club absolutely loved HIDDEN.  It has been such a pleasure working with you. As our holiday season approaches with Thanksgiving next week, I would like to say I am so thankful I read your book and got the chance to get to know you.
Theanna Orr, School Librarian, North Canton School, Ohio, USA.
